So… how exactly do you pair 1, 2, 3 or more (yes that’s many are possible – perhaps around 6 max I’m not sure?) TalkTalk D-LINK DHP-P326AV POWERLINE ADAPTERS to carry your Ethernet and Internet to different rooms in your house?

This how-to guide is specifically when using the YouView Freeview type set top boxes but I’m sure it is likely to apply to other adapters and when using BT or Sky STB’s (set top boxes).

OK – I rarely write how-to articles on Internet or IT connectivity stuff but I had such a hard time with this one as it’s an old product and I couldn’t find the answer anywhere – not even on the D-Link Support site or Youtube. But I did work out How To Pair D-LINK DHP-P326AV POWERLINE Ethernet ADAPTERS by accident – and here is how you pair these Ethernet power line adapters.

What is the correct way to pair D-LINK DHP-P326AV Powerline Ethernet Adaptors?

What you do is this…

  1. Plug your new How To Pair D-LINK DHP-P326AV POWERLINE ADAPTER into the wall.
  2. See the button in the image above with the little circular arial-like/wireless symbol?.. press and hold that for 2 SECONDS (not more – as that does something else).
  3. After releasing you should see it THE HOME/2nd/middle icon start flashing (meaning data is now being received from the master/main adaptor – ie the first adapter in the chain plugged into the modem – ie what you want!).
  4. Now plugin in your ethernet cable and you’ll see the the third light (network data flowing).

Voila!
