How To Stay Chaste

What is Chaste?

The Bible and Chastity. How To Keep Your Chastity

Chaste as opposed to abstinence – is a concept which goes beyond saving sex until marriage, and in fact is a lifestyle which Christ calls us to live out through our entire lives, be we single or married, man or woman. This website exists to encourage people of all ages to live lives of chastity. Old fahioned mabe – but the key to real life!

Chastity Help from The Bible

For our own good, sexual desires/activities are best under Christ’s control, I Thessalonians 4:3-5, TLB.
“God wants you to keep clear sexual sin so that each of you will marry in holiness -not in lustful passion in ignorance of God and his ways.”

Behaviour to Avoid

Romans 13:13, TLB:  “Be decent so that all can approve your behavior. Don’t spend time at wild parties, getting drunk, adultery and lust, fighting, or jealousy.”

Keeping Yourself Pure

I John 3:3, TLB: “everyone who believes this will try to stay pure because Christ is pure.”

Dating should not include a Sexual Relationship

I Corinthians 6:13,18, TLB: “But sexual sin is never right: our bodies were not made for that, but for the Lord. . .That is why I say to run from sex sin. No other sin affects the body as this one does. When you sin this sin it is against your own body.”

Drinking

The Bible offers a powerful alternative to drinking. Ephesians 5:18, TLB: “Don’t drink too much wine, for many evils lie along that path; be filled instead with the Holy Spirit and controlled by Him.”
