Is Budiz Social Networking Site For Real?

Are People Really Being Paid To use Budiz Social Network?

“Together We Can Change The World” – Too Good To Be True?

Well we’re sure you’ve heard of Bebo, MySpace and Friendster social networking sites even if you aren’t a member of any of them as most are in and out of the news headlines for good and more recently bad reasons including many being reportedly host to thousands of scammers, spammers, bogus Internet users and people simply trying to illicitly advertise their ‘services’ – even groom kids. Yesterday several of these sites were reported to have members commit suicide in pacts but these allegations are still being investigated and I guess could have and do occur without the aid of social networking sites.

New Kid On The Block

But one social networking site you may not have heard about is called Budiz.com – a new face amongst the now hundreds of social networks (though its conception was in 2001) that have sprung up on the net in a few short years. At first glance Budiz appears like any other social network – “join us and well enrich your Internet experience, introduce you to loads of new people who are into what you’re into, watch videos for free and upload your photo albums and anything else that your into”. But there seems to be a different slant on this one as when you hit their homepage you are told that this site is “The Social Network with a Social Conscience”. What does this mean?

“Unbridled violence & explicit stuff is affecting all of us”

Well if you didn’t realise – the Internet in the last 3-4 years alone (with the advent of fast video sharing uploading and downloading) has become a place where not only minors and children can find explicit games, articles and images – but now can easily find hardcore stuff and extremely violent material. If for instance you want to see someone blown up – kicked in the head, shot or maimed – simply signup to YouTube or any of the many other video share websites and Bob’s your uncle! These sites claim that apart from it being impossible to manage all the stuff that gets uploaded, they leave it to the users to censor in the name of free speech. Obviously a company that turns over $ millions has the time and money to do what it likes – but it’s convenient that the new moral standard of the web is – “anything goes”.

Budiz.com say – “enough is enough – we’ll stop the junk & donate all profits to the needy”
The effect this is having society it is argued by sociologists is immeasurable since kids and even adults are now becoming so used to this stuff that they are desensitised to it and no longer see anything as having a negative affect on their behaviour and thought patterns. Step-in Budiz.com. This lot claim that enough is enough and that what they offer is a one-stop-solution to web so you don’t need to accidentally stumble across websites that automatically load offensive material onto your PC, unwanted advertising, spyware, key-loggers, cookies and other invasive things like tracking your web activity (are you aware that search engines sell your search data to advertising companies and most social networks collect and sell data on you from internal and external sources!). Not only that – they actually claim that money can be earn’t from simply using the service but it’s unclear if the users themselves actually get any revenue. What is clear is that Budiz claim to donate all profits to what they call “needs and causes” and members after expenses have been paid.

Members Can “earn & help others simply by using the service”

Budiz members are rewarded simply by signing up to the service and using it (depending on a few variables) – membership includes chat, mail as well as other features. Whilst these services can be found in various forms on different websites, Budiz claim that only their site offers “Everything in One Place!” Their vision is a one-stop-shop service, needed in order to fulfil their goal of building a “safer, junk-free, spammer free Internet and donating “profits to needs and causes of your choice” – they will in turn invest in their users. Their CEO says that he only pays himself enough to live on (in fact he uses the UK national average wage to determine his own as he says “companies like MSN and Yahoo are making $billions and doing very little to help people that are desperate – how much money does one person or organisation need?”.

He goes on “people are happier to give out there credit card to strangers that systematically misuse their data than trust a company that says it’s gonna give away its profits – it’s understandable as using money for the good of all is just not done in business – it’s crazy as people trust the large corporations an search engines who are misusing their data all the time and raking in fortunes promoting seriously questionable sites and services through their advertising schemes and claiming ” no responsibility” in the name of free trade and speech. Im asking people to really trust us and see if we take anyone for a ride – in a way I want it to be trusted verbally rather than by some legal document as I want people to know that there are people out there who make a fortune and NOT abuse their position, or the money and information of others”. It remains to be seen if Budiz.com and its directors will stick to their word.

Getting Paid Real Money To Surf The Net?

We shall seen if this is what it’s cracked up to be – but with people signing up every day (signing up new members, writing and submitting original content and articles – members are even rewarded for being ‘active’ on the site!) and Budiz books being totally open for inspection should anyone “doubt their motives” – let us know what you find at Budiz because if there is any truth in what they say they are about – it may well be the next Internet revolution!

What’s The Definition of a Social Network?

A social network is a social structure made of nodes (which are generally individuals or organizations) that are tied by one or more specific types of interdependency, such as values, visions, idea, financial exchange, friends, kinship, dislike, conflict, trade, web links, relations, disease transmission (epidemiology), or airline routes. The resulting structures are often very complex.
