Why Does God Not Always Heal?

Because this world is NOT heaven – this world is ruled by the Devil and still under his dominion. In this world, when God does heal – which he often does… God does not heal for the sake of healing as we so often wish – as he will do when we are all resurrected and given perfect glorified bodies as we once had in Eden.

No – he heals in this world for another reason – to display his light in a dark world! To show that HE is still the master and is able to contravene the laws of nature! To show He is still on the throne and has our backs – even in a world handed over to the Prince of Darkness!

When God doesn’t heal – NEVER curse God. That is Satan’s main aim for you – to curse God and blaspheme the Holy Spirit! Just believe in His goodness and His ultimate plan for our ultimate healing and happiness and joy in the soon-coming renewed heaven and earth!

Confession and Confessing of Sins

Confession & Sins

First of all you don’t need a priest to confess your sins to! Why would The Bible command you to have your sins forgiven by an unholy man (The Bible tells us all are sinners and have fallen short and that no man is good of his own accord).

What Does The Bible Actually Say Regarding Confession of Sins and Misdemeanours?

open-bibleonwhiteFirst, The Bible tells us to; “call no man father” – yes is does! But is also tells us to; “confess your faults – yes faults – to one another.” How beautiful is that!? The King James Version doesn’t instruct us to tell our deepest, darkest, most horrible things we have done to people we don’t know opening up to bondage, fear and guilt and sometimes turning this against us, but best friends who also being sinners will understand as they will also confess to us. We are to confess our problems and FAULTS to one another. Now that is very doable and without excuse (providing we have some trustworthy Christian friends) and means we can pray for one another regarding the root issues that cause the sins that we ask our heavenly Father to forgive the individual sins we are so ashamed about.

Why Confess our Faults & Sins to One Another?

Confessing our sins is integral to being a Christian. This I would guess is beneficial both for the confessor and possibly the person hearing the confession who will be used in God’s gracious healing process. The person confessing is able to share the burden of guilt that naturally occurs when you do something wrong, and meanwhile the listener is able to share in the forgiveness process with God by caring and being there to listen.

How To Deal with Sin

Sin Help & Advice in The Bible

open-bibleonwhitePrayer strengthens us against temptation & sin. Mark 14:38, NIV. “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”

Don’t allow yourself to be pressured one way or another-be honest and think for yourself. Exodus 23:2-3, TLB. “Don’t join mobs intent on evil. When on the witness stand, don’t be swayed in your testimony by the mood of the majority present, and do not slant your testimony in favor of a man just because he is poor.”

Sin Must be Dealt with Immediately!

little-devil-illustrationWe all know that the Devil has no pitchfork and is a thousand times more sublte than the cartoon on the right. Therefore when you are faced with temptation, run the other direction IMMEDIATELY! II Timothy 2:22, TLB. “Run from anything that gives you the evil thoughts that young men often have, but stay close to anything that makes you want to do right. Have faith and love, and enjoy the companionship of those who love the Lord and have pure hearts.”

Meet temptation with God’s Word. Matthew 4:1,3,4, NIV.
“Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. The tempter came to Him and said, If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread: Jesus answered, “It is written: Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

Misery and sin love company.Proverbs 4:14-16, TLB.
“Don’t do as the wicked do. Avoid their haunts, turn away, go somewhere else, for evil men can’t sleep until they’ve done their evil deed for the day. They can’t rest unless they cause someone to stumble and fall.”

If you love God worldly things won’t have much appeal.I John 2:15-17, TLB.
“Stop loving this evil world and all that it offers you, for when you love these things you show that you do not really love God; for all these worldly things, these evil desires -the craze for sex, the ambition to buy everything that appeals to you, and the pride that comes from wealth and importance -these are not from God. They are from this evil world itself. And this world is fading away, and these evil, forbidden things will go with it, but whoever keeps doing the will of God will live forever.”

You cannot enjoy worldly pleasures and be a friend of God. James 4:4, TLB.
“You are like an unfaithful wife who loves her husband’s enemies. Don’t you realize that making friends with God’s enemies -the evil pleasures of this world-makes you an enemy of God? I say it again, that if your aim is to enjoy the evil pleasure of the unsaved world, you cannot also be a friend of God.”

What kind of activities are wrong? Galatians 5:19-21, TLB.
“But when you follow your own inclinations your lives will produce evil results: impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, idolatry, spiritism, hatred and fighting, jealousy and anger, constant effort to get the best for yourself, complaints and criticisms, murder, drunkenness, wild parties, and all that sort of thing. Let me tell you again as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Live as though your home were in heaven. I Peter 2:11, TLB.
“Dear brothers, you are only visitors here. Since your real home is in heaven, I beg you to keep away from the evil pleasures of this world; they are not for you, for they fight against your very souls.”

depressed-lady-onwhiteTo love – or Not to Love…

What’s worse – loosing the partner you love or loosing a million pounds? You can’t concentrate, – you’re not interested in anyone else, you can’t eat, – and all this even though you knew it would never work! Well, such is the bonding that occurs between us men and women and I guess it’s the reason why God wants us to make a good choice in who we marry!

It’s tempting after an experience like this to feel like never loving again. But before you take this drastic measure take a little look at this piece of wisdom…

to love…

“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one. Not even an animal. Wrap it carefully with hobbies and luxuries, avoid all entanglements and keep it safe in the casket of your selfishness. But in the casket – safe, dark, motionless, airless – it will change. It will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable”. C.S Lewis The Four Loves

Dealing with Rejection by Others

Thankfully Jesus new all about rejection! He was “despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.”
(Isaiah 53:3, NIV).

In fact there would be little or no point in believing in a creator or saviour that wasn’t familiar with our suffereings. There is a deep mystery in suffering and rejection that actually teaches us about the meaning and value of love. For it is only when rejected that we are forced to re-think and question our values and beliefs.

open-bibleonwhiteWhat The Bible Says on How To Deal with Rejection

We reject God when we refuse His offer of salvation. Matthew 21:42, NIV. “Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures, the stone the builders rejected has become the capstone”

Anyone who rejects God is a fool., Psalm 14:1, TLB. “That man is a fool who says to himself, “There is no God! Anyone who talks like that is warped and evil and cannot really be a good person at all.”
