What was the first site to offer group dating?
To see the first website to design and come up with the 'group dating' concept see www.christianparties.com! Click on the link 'Groups' and you will see what remains (I took of the signup pages) of the idea. Basicly people sign up as a group of singe guys or a group of single girls instead of signiing up as a single person. Then the leader of each mens single group contacts the leader of each womens single group for a meetup!

Ubfortunately - I had no resources to build the backend for this group single service (or any other of the unique services on this site (it was also designed as one of the first 'friendseter/social network' in 2001. See www.fusion101 - 'viryual Meeting Place for Christians' to see the worlds first social network - now a dating service for Christians but originally designed and uploaded as purely a frendship/socal site aimed at Christian singles but which had to be transformed into 'dating' in order to attract the people I was trying to help)).

Anyway - point being, the group singles and datng service signup is now just sitting on my harddrive - in any case - my business partner at the time said it was a bad idea (like people say about all new innovations) which I knew it wasn't - I just needed the resources and money to build it. So - the great news is that I have finally designed a group dating service that actually works as opposed to one that sits there giving other people with the cash to do it - build this service. Match.com apparently now do it and its taken off in Japan - but I put the idea on the web (stupidly I guess) way back in 2001 - because I thought I could get it build quickly but was deluged over the next 7 years with crashes and problems just keeping Fusion101 free christian singles running!
