Falling in Love

Being
'in Love' is magical and when it happens to us we feel like it
will last forever. We are exempt from the problems of our parents
and we vow to be perfect roll models to our children, who in turn
will watch and learn from us, growing up strong and free from
the inhibitions and insecurities that we had to deal with. This
of course is the nature of falling in love. It's slightly illusory.
But
it creates a platform from which the other sometimes deeper kind
of loves can develop. Being 'in love' is an enviable position
to be in. The whole world is more colourful and meaning is found
just being in the other persons presence. It should be enjoyed
and not be looked down upon as something of less value than the
other loves.
As with many things, the feeling of being 'in love' inevitably
subsides - and is replaced by a deeper more meaningful bond -
a good thing. Can you imagine what sort of chaos would arise from
a world full of people who saw everything through the eyes of
lovers!
