Looking for a Christian version of Hi5?

Is there a networkin site like Hi 5 for Christians?

As far as we know, there is no 'Christian Hi-5' alternative that we could find - although Ive no doubt there will be sometime shortly. The nearest alternatives you can get is to actually use one of the 'friendster' style sites and use their Christian groups - as most of these secular websites have Christian groups on them as the services they offer are pretty good and better than many Christian friendship/singles and dating service online.

I have heard a lot of reports as well that the secular network sites do contain a lot of junk profiles and profanitly. It's quite common for people to upload pictures of themselves exposed (mean to be fun) as well as the usual weirdos you find on all Internet networking sites. Some have more than others. Either way - if it's your kids who are looking to get on a networking website, or social portal site.. give em the low down and tell them to watch out for people impersonating and using false profiles. If you don't know what that means, it's where a person grabs a photo(s) off a persons profile on another site and possibly the text or answers to essay questions too. They then upload these to a profile on another site and begin using them under false pretences - often termed grooming. Then once they have built up a level of trust - out of nowhere might come a request for money for this that or the other.. and the person on the other end is tempted to send it (cos they trust the other person). Rarely will the con-artist want to meet in person or answer questions directly - so just be warned and take care. This is actually not common to this particular site - it's now common across the board and some internet friendship services take more care to weed out the fraudsters than others.

So in short - the Christian community has yet to come up with it's own version... not really surprising given the massive scale and complexity of some of these networks .. any takers!! All the best - Christian Advivce.net
